How do people with normative thinking view the world? They look at the world by how it ought to be. It is an idealistic approach.
What are a couple examples of normative people? Plato, Karl Marx, journalists who transform information from empirical to normative information.
Define "power". The ability to get what you want regardless of what others want.
What are the three dimensions of power? Influence, coercion, authority.
Define "Influence". People who operate through the power of persuasion. They persuade through reason and emotion.
Define "Coercion". Use force to get shit done. Used if persuasion doesn't work.
Define "authority". People willingly do what they are told to do. Based on legitimacy and obligation to do what they must do.
